| Location: The airport is located 22 km (14 miles) north west of Lagos. Time Zone: GMT + 1 Number of Terminals: 1 Driving Directions: A highway links Murtala Muhammed Airport with the city centre. The journey takes 30-60 minutes depending on the traffic.

Car Parking: 750 short-stay car spaces are available.
Public Transport: Taxis are the easiest and safest way to travel from the airport to the city. Choose one of the yellow taxis outside the terminal (upstairs, outside the departure lounge), check the driver’s ID, then tell him where you are going and agree on a fee before setting off.
Information and Help Desks: Tourist information, including hotel reservation, is available at the customer service desk in the arrival hall.
Airport Facilities: There are restaurants, bars, banks, bureau de change and a duty free shop in the international terminal, as well as a post office and medical facilities.
NOTE: pickpockets and confidence trickster, some posing as local immigration and other government officials, are common at Murtala Muhammed Airport. Security is not always satisfactory, so be vigilant.
