Driving Directions: From Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the north of the island, take the Highway Tenerife 1 (TF-1), until the signposted junction for the airport.
Car parking: There are over 1,000 spaces for cars and buses at the airport; 58 of the car parking spaces are free for a 15-minute maximum stay. Short- and long-term parking is situated just across the road from the terminal building, by the bus and taxi stops.
Public Transport: Road: Taxi: Taxis are available to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (journey time: 60 minutes) from in front of Arrivals. Bus: Buses leave regularly from the airport on three routes. Bus no.341 runs to the central bus station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife at La Avenida Marítima. Bus no.340 runs to North Tenerife Airport (for inter-island flights) and Puerto de la Cruz. Bus no.487 runs to Los Cristianos (for ferries to La Palma and La Gomera) and Playa de Las Américas. Buses depart from outside Arrivals.
Information and Help Desks: There is one information desk at the airport (tel: (0)922 759 510), which is located in the central hall. The information desk can provide passengers with assistance concerning flight enquiries, airport information and lost property.
Airport Facilities: Money and communications: There is a bank, as well as ATMs and a post office. Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, bars, cafeterias and fast-food outlets before and after security. Shopping: Shops include a bookshop/newsagents, gift shop, accessories, jewellery, fashion, music, toys and florists. Luggage: A lost property service is available at the information desk. Other facilities: There are travel agencies, a chapel and a police station, a pharmacy and a medical centre open around the clock.
Conference and Business Facilities: There is a VIP Lounge on the second floor of Departures, which can be adapted for meetings and conferences; facilities include a courtesy bar, TV, newspapers and an information desk (tel: (0)922 759 425). The airport also offers a function room, with audiovisual equipment.
Disabled Facilities: The airport is wheelchair-accessible and there are lifts to take passengers to the upper level. Telephones, restaurants and toilets are all physically accessible and facilities to assist disabled passengers from the aircraft to the terminal are available. Disabled travellers are advised to notify their airline of any special requirements at least 72 hours before departure.
